Looking forward to the Badminton Grass Roots competition in 2021
VOLTAIRE
DESIGN SADDLE UP WITH THE GRASSROOTS CHAMPIONSHIPS
This is good news for grass roots riders at the BE90 and BE100 level. The grass roots competition at Badminton was always a fixture in the Harveywetdog year until the notorious shenanigans in 2017 so let's hope the new brooms, in both the sponsors and organisers departments, sweep clean!

Press release:
Badminton Horse Trials are thrilled to announce that VOLTAIRE DESIGN are to become the title sponsor for the Grassroots Championships in 2022.
The Championships will take place on Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th May at The Duke of Beaufort’s Badminton Estate in Gloucestershire.
Badminton is delighted to host The Voltaire Design Grassroots Championships which is the ultimate ambition of a huge number of riders competing at BE90 and BE100 levels.
Event Director Jane Tuckwell said: “We have very much enjoyed hosting the Grassroots Championships since 2010 and are very grateful to Voltaire Design for their support of this competition going forward.”
“Badminton Horse Trials is the premier event of the season and is the venue that all Event Riders aspire to compete at, representing the pinnacle of many equestrian careers. Eventing is incredibly important to Voltaire Design and the Grassroots competition and membership is so intrinsically important to the sport.
“The effort, commitment and dedication shown by the Grassroots competitors deserves the Championships to be held in such an iconic venue. Voltaire Design’s title sponsorship of the Grassroots Championships underlines our commitment not just to British Eventing and Badminton but the Grassroots competitors themselves who are so passionately committed to our sport,” said Matt Tarrant, Managing Director, Voltaire Design U.K. & Ireland.
Helen West, CEO of British Eventing, commented:
"We are extremely excited for the BE90 and BE100 Championships to be
returning to Badminton next spring. Badminton is one of the pinnacles of the
Eventing calendar and the deep disappointment of not being able to enjoy the
thrill of riding there has been heartfelt, not only by the 5* competitors but
also by those who have aspired to qualify for these prestigious grassroots
championships.
“We look forward to working with Voltaire Design and the team at Badminton to deliver a competition for all to remember in 2022.”
