If Harveywetdog did Wikipedia

In April 2020 and in the interest of legacy I wrote a Wikipedia entry recording the thoughts and notable works of Harveywetdog. I admit I was ignorant of the rules concerning self promotion on Wikipedia and consequently my entry was correctly deleted and my account expunged from the system. As a result my original words and links were sadly lost but nevertheless here is a rewrite. Perhaps when I'm gone someone will be able to enter it onto Wikipedia as a fitting epitaph for my time on the Harveywetdog Project.

I'm already looking forward to Blenheim Palace International 2024

Exciting news - I have made my first three media accreditation submissions for 2024. These are for the two Cirencester Park events in April and May, but even more significantly for Blenheim Palace International in September. While I will be attending Badminton, this is as a paying spectator and media accreditation does not apply.

The Chance to Plan Ahead

I don't think I'd be giving too much away to say that applying for accreditation at Blenheim prior to 2023 always felt a bit of a last minute affair so I'm delighted that JB Promotions have stuck with last years practice of taking accreditation requests pre-season so that plans can be firmed up with confidence.

Blenheim Palace 2023 provided a bumper crop of video action for me and I'm sure 2024 will be just as good - if not better as I can't believe I'll have problems with the Discovery air intake manifolds this year!

Here is the Blenheim Palace press release announcing that the Box Office is open as well.

Blenheim Box Office is Open

"The buzz of Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials returns for 2024 and will be held from 19-22 September in the stunning grounds of Blenheim Palace. Join us for four days packed with exciting, top-class eventing showcasing the very best of equestrian sport.

Returning for their second year as organisers, Stable Events are excited to build on the success of the 2023 event, where they saw a record attendance of visitors in recent years. Over 28,000 visitors attended the event over the four days of competition, enjoying an extensive increase in shopping opportunities and entertainment. With more tradestands being added this year, further entertainment and enhanced offerings to members, this is an event not to be missed.

Event Organiser, Katrina Midgley comments, “We are thrilled to be back for 2024 and have a lot of exciting plans to make the event even better than last year. We recognise how special this event is to so many and it’s a significant date in the eventing diary.”

The Box Office is open, so make sure you book your tickets now on the website www.bpiht.co.uk to be part of the action and take advantage of the advanced ticket offer with 20% off (ends 31 March). Standard parking remains free of charge, entry for those aged 12 and under is free, plus there are options to add on your grandstand and members tickets. Make the most of the long weekend and book your camping or glamping tickets so that you’re really in amongst the action."
