If Harveywetdog did Wikipedia

In April 2020 and in the interest of legacy I wrote a Wikipedia entry recording the thoughts and notable works of Harveywetdog. I admit I was ignorant of the rules concerning self promotion on Wikipedia and consequently my entry was correctly deleted and my account expunged from the system. As a result my original words and links were sadly lost but nevertheless here is a rewrite. Perhaps when I'm gone someone will be able to enter it onto Wikipedia as a fitting epitaph for my time on the Harveywetdog Project.

In just over two week time my erstwhile colleagues in the equestrian press pack will be jostling for prime position to capture that all important shot and mark the beginning of Badminton International Horse Trials 2025.

Good luck to them is all I can say, I hope it's worth it.

It's fair to say we've had a very dry Spring in England and as that doesn't look set to change in the next two weeks then the going is going to be firm. That's a marked contrast to the last couple of years which has seen the track quite soft in places. Whether that has led to some of the withdrawals I don't know.

Harveywetdog favourites are number 3 Oliver Townend and Ballaghmor Class, number 6 Gemma Stevens and Chilli Knight and right near the end Tom Rowland and Dreamliner. Harry Meade still has five horses to pick from across his two runs so perhaps 2025 is finally going to be his year. And of course I'll also be looking out for number 77 Nicky Hill and MGH Bingo Boy.

As always remember tickets have to be bought in advance and if you'd rather watch from the comfort of your own home Badminton TV is available on clipmyhorse.
