If Harveywetdog did Wikipedia

In April 2020 and in the interest of legacy I wrote a Wikipedia entry recording the thoughts and notable works of Harveywetdog. I admit I was ignorant of the rules concerning self promotion on Wikipedia and consequently my entry was correctly deleted and my account expunged from the system. As a result my original words and links were sadly lost but nevertheless here is a rewrite. Perhaps when I'm gone someone will be able to enter it onto Wikipedia as a fitting epitaph for my time on the Harveywetdog Project.

Get ready for an unforgettable bank holiday weekend for all the family to enjoy!

Bicton International Horse Trials, running from 22-25 May 2025, is set to deliver four days of world-class equestrian competition in the heart of Devon [ed note it's actually the South East of Devon but never mind]. With its reputation as a premier eventing venue, Bicton Arena is proud to host the British leg of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup™, bringing top horse and rider combinations from across the globe together in an extraordinary battle for a podium finish.

Alongside the prestigious Nations Cup class, the event will feature an array of exciting sections, including the CCI4*-S which will once again benefit from the generous support of TopSpec. The much-anticipated British Young Rider National Championship, supported by Succeed, will run at CCI3*-L level and see the future stars of the sport showcase their prowess. In addition, the CCI2*-L and the Symonds & Sampson CCI3*-L will unfold throughout the week against a backdrop of stunning Grade I listed parkland.

All four days of competition will provide an exhilarating experience for both seasoned horse enthusiasts and eventing newcomers alike. But this fixture is about more than just top-tier sporting action; it’s also a celebration of equestrian excellence, with something special for everyone to look forward to. Spectators can enjoy a range of captivating demonstrations, including high-octane performances from the jaw-dropping Knights of Middle England stunt team, fascinating falconry displays and immersive ‘have-a-go’ dog agility experiences.

Visitors will have the opportunity to take a break from the equestrian action and explore a range of shops and catering outlets that highlight the very best of the region.

Plus, thanks to Woof Wear’s generous support, a brand-new Owners, Riders and Grooms Lounge will provide the perfect place to relax and enjoy a complimentary cream tea from Kitchen at Coombe.

Don’t miss out on the South West’s premier eventing fixture this spring. Tickets for Bicton International Horse Trials are now available online starting at just £10 and under 12’s go free. Book now to benefit from advanced rates here.
