The stage is set for this new Event with over 500 entries - including Olympic riders Mark Kyle and Alex Hua Tian together with Jeanette Brakewell and Polly Stockton amongst the riders who will be competing at this highly popular venue on Saturday and Sunday 8th  and 9th October.

Weston report "We are delighted to welcome again David and Catherine Witt as Title Sponsors  - supporting the Novice and Open Novice  Sections. Blue Chip continue their support of the BE90 and BE100 and also have a new challenge the Blue Chip North West BE80 Challenge Final. During the season 8 events in the North West Region have supported qualifiers in their Airowear BE80T sections, 4 competitors from each section have qualified for the Blue Chip Finals resulting in over 100 competitors qualified. This has been a fabulous incentive for the grassroots of our sport and the final is set for a tremendous climax to their season.

 New to Weston at both BE90 and BE100 are the Regional Finals for the Mitsubishi Motors Cup, with our winners going on to Badminton next May, more opportunity for the less experienced riders to taste the Weston magic

The new course, designed by Janet Plant and superbly constructed, will run over a thousand acres of rolling wooded parkland and the fences are solid and imposing. Each class runs over a different course Janet Plant comments “it is a privilege to design on such a fabulous estate and the courses run on the central park giving wonderful views from the vantage points which is greatly appreciated by owners and spectators."

Time-table: 

Saturday – Blue Chip BE90, Mitsubishi Motors Cup BE90 Regional Final, Blue Chip Central North West BE80T Challenge Final,

Dressage 8am; Show Jumping 8.30 am; Cross Country 9.30 am

Sunday –: Blue Chip BE100 and BE100 Open , Mitsubishi Motors Cup Regional Final; Rookery Park Stud Novice and Open Novice;   Dressage 8.O0am Show Jumping 8.45 am; Cross Country 9.45am

Admission: Cars with a BE membership card – free.   Non-members Adults £10 per person; accompanied Children under 12 years are free.

Walk round the beautiful parkland, enjoy looking at the varied and interesting range of trade stands.  Hot and cold fast food facilities are available or bring a picnic.

Location: Weston Park is situated at Weston under Lizard, Shropshire on the A5, 7 miles west of junction 12, off the M6 and junction 3 off the M54.
