If Harveywetdog did Wikipedia

In April 2020 and in the interest of legacy I wrote a Wikipedia entry recording the thoughts and notable works of Harveywetdog. I admit I was ignorant of the rules concerning self promotion on Wikipedia and consequently my entry was correctly deleted and my account expunged from the system. As a result my original words and links were sadly lost but nevertheless here is a rewrite. Perhaps when I'm gone someone will be able to enter it onto Wikipedia as a fitting epitaph for my time on the Harveywetdog Project.

Throwing down the Golden Gauntlet

I remember Judy Harvey saying in a television commentary how fortunate we all are to have lived in the era of Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro.

On Saturday night at the Hartpury Festival of Dressage I fully understood what she meant. It was a privilege to video such an exciting and technically accurate freestyle test; a truly emotional experience - I actually punched the air a couple of times when I saw the audacity of what the pair were doing.

It doesn't matter that the Hartpury Arena is virtually an extension to the Hester empire; it doesn't matter that we weren't told just exactly how many tens there were or if any particular moves were marked down over the weekend.

All that matters is that this was a pair of top athletes from Great Britain saying here we are world, this is what we can do, we are going for Gold in Rio, do you think you can beat us?
