If Harveywetdog did Wikipedia - 15 years as an equestrian videographer

In April 2020, and in the interest of legacy, I penned a Wikipedia entry recording the thoughts and notable achievements of myself as Harveywetdog. I admit I was ignorant of the rules concerning self promotion on Wikipedia at the time; consequently my entry was unfortunately, although arguably correctly, deleted and my account expunged from the system. As a result my original words and links were sadly lost but nevertheless here is an attempt at a rewrite. Perhaps when I'm gone someone will be able to enter it onto Wikipedia on my behalf, to serve as a fitting epitaph for the exciting times I spent on the Harveywetdog Project.

Hartpury set out plans for Spring Dressage Classic CDI Dressage Competition

Although details for the Hartpury Spring Classic remain rather thin on the Hartpury website, the FEI approved schedule has now been issued for both the CDI and the CPEDI events.

The Hartpury Spring Classic came about due to Addington Equestrian making the difficult decision to withdraw from their planned CDI and CPEDI competition in March as a result of a change of management at the venue.

Concentrating on the CDI event we see this will cover both one star and three star competitions together with Junior, Young Rider, Under 25, Children and Pony classes. The president of the Ground Jury is Stephen Clarke of GBR, heading a team comprising Mary Robins of New Zealand, Clive Halsall, Peter Storr and Nick Burton of GBR, plus Eugenio Rovida (ITA), Marietta Almasy (FRA), Christine Prip (DEN) and the designated foreign judge being Maria Colliander (FIN). The total number of athletes will be 64 and the number of GBR athletes will be limited to 32. An athlete is allowed to enter two horses but the total number of combinations is limited to 64.

The deadline for entries is 13th March although substitutions are allowed up until two hours before the first horse inspection. The entry fee per horse is £540 although this does include stabling in Hartpury's excellent facilities.

Stables open on Sunday 29th March and the first horse inspection takes place on Monday 30th March between two o'clock and four o'clock. The one star competition will comprise Prix St Georges on Tuesday, Intermediate I on Wednesday and Intermediate I Freestyle on Thursday. These competitions all start at eight o'clock in the morning. The three star competition starts with Grand Prix on Tuesday, Grand Prix Special on Wednesday and Grand Prix Freestyle on Thursday. No times are provided for these competitions. The other CDI classes fit in around the one star and three star events.

The event will take place using both the indoor and outdoor arenas at Hartpury. Paperless judging will be provided using the Equipe software and live streaming will be provided by Horse and Country.

The website also provides access to the CPEDI schedule.
